Legislative Issues for 2009 NRECA Legislative Conference

Regulatory Issues

Outage Reporting
In 2008 the Wyoming Public Service Commission (PSC) proposed Rules (238,252,325,420 and 616) regarding Service Interruption and Third-Party Damage Reporting. The WREA participated in numerous technical conferences in order to help draft these rules. In 2009 we submitted our written comments on the proposed final rules. Integrated Resource Planning
In 2009 the PSC proposed to create Rule 253. Integrated Resource Planning. This rule is proposed in order to give the Commission a more formalized process for requiring the filing of integrated resource plans, in some cases, and reviewing such plans. The Commission has also proposed guidelines for the review of the integrated resource plan which will not be part of Section 253. Click here to view the proposed rule and corresponding guidelines.
