The Art Spot

Entries will feature creative work by our Wyoming readers. Entries may range from photos to paintings, illustrations and digital artwork to poetry, prose and short stories. The sky’s the limit!

You are welcome to mail us a physical copy of your work, or send in a high-resolution digital file (this method is preferred).

You also may include a blog or a website url if you have one, so WREN readers can view more of your art.

Just Picture It

Entries are due the 15th of the month preceding the issue. For example, entries for the theme featured in the March WREN issue are due February 15.

Please include high-quality digital files. Use the highest quality setting on your camera, or save digital artwork as a .jpg or .tif file with at least 300 dpi resolution. Limited to two photo submissions per person, per issue (special photo issues limited to five submissions).

Book Drawing

Entries are due the 15th of the month following the issue. For example, entries for the book featured in the February WREN issue are due March 15.

Only one entry per household, please.

Country Cooks

Entries are due the 15th of the month preceding the issue. For example, entries for the theme featured in the March WREN issue are due February 15.

Pen to Paper

No required themes.

Original creative writing submissions must have the author’s consent to publish and it cannot have been published elsewhere. Pen to Paper does not follow monthly themes, so you’re welcome to submit pieces on any topic or subject.

What’s Happening

Events are due the 15th of the month two months preceding the issue and should occur during the month following the issue. For example, July events are due May 15 and will run in the June issue.

Be sure to include the date, title, description, time, location, cost and a contact number for readers to call.

Each month we select an event for our Featured Event listing. These events have regional appeal and must be submitted with a high-resolution photo, meaning a .jpg or .tif file with at least 300 dpi resolution.
